Dane grew up in Kalamazoo, MI, and has lived all over Michigan. He completed high school at Portage Central, undergraduate at Michigan Tech, and completed his Medical School training at the University of Michigan. He is currently a pathology resident at the University of Chicago. He has a strong interest in undergraduate education and undergraduate medical education, and has served in numerous tutoring, leadership, and advisory roles. Additionally, he was actively involved in UofM's ethics path of excellence for medical students. As a pathologist-in-training, Dane hopes to maintain his involvement in education, ethics, and research related to pathology or medical education.
